It’s been snowing and we’ve been stuck inside. It’s been absolutely beautiful, but overwhelming and life challenging. The loss of electricity sent us walking to my stepmother’s with a wood stove. Thankfully we were only without for 12 hours.

What have we been doing with our time in the house of color? We painted pictures (my husband, 4.75 year old and I). We shoveled. We painted on the walls. We colored. We took pictures, and we played! We sledded down the road in front of our house over and over again… What fun!

I guess if you can’t get your car out, it’s not a bad way to spend some time…
The sky never looks bluer than when all that white is in the high trees. White can really highlight the beauty that you cannot see every day. It made me wonder if there would be as much sadness during the winter months if the ground was always coated in white, and the sky was always so blue?
